Morganna is a photographer and bookmaker whose practice explores human relations to the non-human world using traditional photographic practices in non-traditional ways. As the head of the Photomedia department at Swinburne University, Morganna has worked with students to make books for the last decade. In 2022 she published her debut monograph Extraordinary Experiences with Tall Poppy Press. The book was nominated for Australian Photobook of the Year, was listed as one of the photobooks of 2020 by Gabriela Cendoya and Robin Titchner and has sold out. Enjoying the process so much, Morganna joined Tall Poppy press as partner and has since published Beware of People who dislike cats in 2023. In addition, Phenomena a collaboration with Italian Publisher Origini Edizioni furthers Morganna’s profile as a photographer enamoured with book making.
Morganna will be presenting and co-leading a workshop at Photobook/NZ 2024. Follow Morganna on Insta @morgannamagee
